This policy explains what information is collected when you use youtubedownload.io, how it is used, and your choices. YouTube Downloader is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

1. Information we collect

Links and requests you submit. When you paste a video link and press Download, the link and your chosen options are sent to our servers so we can fetch and prepare the file. We process the link only to carry out your request.

Files we prepare. To deliver your download, our servers may temporarily fetch, convert and store the media file. These files are deleted automatically within [1 hour] of being created. [Confirm the actual retention period.]

Technical data. Our servers and hosting provider ([Hosting provider]) automatically record your IP address, the time of each request, the pages and files requested, your browser and device type, and the referring page. We use this to deliver the service, prevent abuse and fix problems. Logs are kept for up to [30] days.

• To comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing

We share information only with:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that process it on our behalf to run the service.
• Third-party platforms (such as the video site hosting the content) as needed to retrieve the media you asked for. These requests may include our server's IP address, not yours.
• Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users from abuse.

4. Retention

Prepared files are deleted shortly after creation, as stated above. Server logs are kept for up to the period stated above. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message.

5. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and files are stored only temporarily. No online service is completely secure.

6. Your responsibilities

Please only download content you have the right to download, such as your own videos, content in the public domain or content whose owner or license allows it. You are responsible for following the terms of the video platform and copyright law in your country.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not keep accounts, we may need your IP address and the approximate time of use to find anything relating to you. Contact us below to make a request.

8. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. International transfers

Our servers and providers may be located outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Third-party links

If the site links to other websites, we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do, and the current version will always be on this page.
